The contest is part of a series of activities implemented by the Central Youth Union to raise awareness among union members, youth, and students about the harmful effects of sugary drinks in 2025.

The contest encourages creativity and creates opportunities for young people to propose practical initiatives, contributing to limiting the use of sugary drinks and controlling the abuse of sugary drinks among young people.
At the contest, 6 teams from universities of Hue University competed in 3 parts: Greeting, Knowledge and Initiative.
Notably, in the Knowledge section, each team has a set of 10 questions related to the test content and must answer them in a multiple choice format within 2 minutes. For the Initiative section, each team presents ideas and initiatives on promoting the restriction of sugary drink abuse among union members, youth, and students.
The University of Foreign Languages, with the initiative “Reduce sugar today - Health tomorrow”, synchronously deployed many solutions: Social media communication; free wifi connection when answering 2 questions about the harmful effects of sugary drinks; Tiktok trend transformed after 30 days of not using sugary drinks. In particular, the application “Counting sugar-free days”, daily reminders, health statistics, recording the sugar reduction journey, electronic badges… impressed the judges with its presentation as well as its practical application.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the University of Foreign Languages; the Second Prize to the University of Education; the Third Prize to the University of Law, the University of Science; the Encouragement Prize to the University of Economics and the University of Agriculture and Forestry.
