Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions implements the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council

On March 3, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tuyen Quang province held a conference to deploy the Resolution and decision on organizational arrangement and announce decisions on personnel work.

Attending and directing the Conference was Mr. Nguyen The Giang - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.

At the conference, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tuyen Quang province Ma Quang Hieu announced relevant decisions. Pursuant to Resolution No. 07/NQ-HDND Tuyen Quang, dated February 20, 2025 on the establishment and reorganization of a number of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province; Decision No. 13/2025/QD-UBND Tuyen Quang, dated February 24, 2025 Stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tuyen Quang province.

The new organizational structure after the Department's restructuring includes: Ethnic Policy Department; Office; Inspection Department and Religious Department.

Accordingly, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions is a specialized agency under the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, performing the function of advising and assisting the People's Committee of the province in state management of ethnicity, belief and religion.

Regarding tasks and powers, submit to the Provincial People's Committee draft decisions related to sectors and fields under the management of the Department and other documents as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee. Draft plans for sector and field development; programs and measures to organize the implementation of sector and field tasks in the province within the management scope of the Department...

Participate and coordinate with relevant Departments, branches and sectors to appraise projects and proposals developed by Departments, branches and sectors and agencies and organizations related to the field of state management of ethnic affairs and ethnic minorities in Tuyen Quang.

In his speech, Mr. Nguyen The Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the establishment of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions aims to improve the effectiveness of state management in the areas that were previously performed by the Ethnic Minorities Committee and the Department of Home Affairs. The Department needs to clearly define its very important role and tasks in the current situation, especially the task of promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Programs on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021 - 2030.

At the Conference, Director of the Department Ma Quang Hieu said: "The Department will continue to promote the tradition, strength of solidarity and unity among the leadership, civil servants and employees; urgently and effectively implement the assigned functions and tasks; focus on comprehensiveness in all activities, management, inspection and supervision to continuously improve the quality of work". The Director of the Department directly assigns specific tasks to Deputy Directors of the Department, heads of functional departments; specifies the functions, tasks and powers of units under the Department according to regulations; proactively advises and proposes to competent authorities for approval of plans, programs and solutions to organize the implementation of tasks in the fields of ethnicity, belief and religion in the province, especially the implementation according to the 2-level model as currently planned; Continue to advise and propose effective implementation of current ethnic programs and policies, focusing on effectively implementing the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas by 2025...

With a new mindset, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tuyen Quang is determined to strive to successfully complete the set goals and tasks; contributing to building Tuyen Quang to be constantly innovative, comprehensively developed, civilized and prosperous.
