Exciting Cultural Festival of Village and Area Cultural Houses

After 2 days of exciting competition, the 2024 Quang Ninh Province Cultural Festival of Outstanding Village and Neighborhood Culturalists concluded with a summary, performance and award ceremony.

The festival was organized by the Department of Culture and Sports with the participation of 13 art troupes with more than 800 artists and actors selected from typical cultural houses of villages and cultural neighborhoods, representing districts, towns and cities in the province. According to the evaluation of the Jury, the content of the participating troupes all closely followed the theme, content and form of the Festival.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Vinh, Director of the Provincial Cultural Center, said: The content of the participation was elaborately staged and invested in by the troupes, demonstrating the increasingly advanced professional skills of the editing, choreography, staging, and directing teams and the hard training time of the actors to create the success of the program. The activities of the Festival have outlined a multi-dimensional picture, vividly reflecting the rich cultural and artistic life at the grassroots level.

The troupes all used the art of dramatization and visual propaganda to skillfully convey information about building cultural life and developing the local economy and society. In the content of music and dance, the troupes have built enough genres proposed by the Organizing Committee. Many troupes have paid due attention to investing in the content, costumes, and props, creating unique and attractive artistic products for viewers. In general, the troupes have well-staged the content of the propaganda skit, choosing content topics close to the life of the village and neighborhood.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, said: The Festival is a practical activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2024), encouraging the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people to successfully implement the Party's Resolutions, promoting the movement to build cultural villages, cultural neighborhoods, and cultural families. At the same time, promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style through advanced examples in the new rural construction movement in Quang Ninh; honoring typical village and neighborhood culturalists in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life".

The festival is an opportunity for Party committees, authorities and all people to continue to enhance the position, role and importance of culture in life, and also an opportunity to encourage and motivate the people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh to compete to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels and effectively implement the tasks and solutions in the Resolution on building and promoting cultural values, the strength of Quang Ninh people to become an endogenous source, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development. This is also an opportunity for the staff of cultural houses to meet, exchange and share experiences in building cultural life at the grassroots level and improving the quality of activities of the system of cultural houses in the province.

The art programs of the troupes created a colorful picture, praising the cultural and artistic movements of the masses at the grassroots level, leaving a beautiful impression in the hearts of the audience. The 2024 Art Festival of Outstanding Village and Neighborhood Cultural Houses is a provincial-level competition, so the participating content of the troupes must also strive to achieve artistic standards. Although it has shown encouraging strengths, this Festival also revealed limitations that need to be learned from, such as: Some troupes are still stuck in the rut of editing and staging the content of the participating programs; there are also performances that are poorly staged and have technical errors. Although there are still some shortcomings that need to be overcome, on the whole, it can be affirmed that the Festival was a great success.

In the final results, the Organizing Committee awarded many A, B and consolation prizes to the performances; awarded 13 overall prizes to the participating teams. 2 first overall prizes were awarded to the Lang Cong Village Mass Art Troupe, Don Dac Commune, Ba Che District and the Quang Trung Quarter Mass Art Troupe, Mao Khe Ward, Dong Trieu Town. On this occasion, the Department of Culture - Sports also awarded certificates of merit to 13 groups with outstanding achievements participating in the 2024 Quang Ninh Province Outstanding Village - Quarter Cultural Festival.
