Early application of artificial intelligence technology at the 9th National Assembly Session

On the evening of April 24, chairing and giving comments on the application of artificial intelligence technology in the digital transformation of the National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested units to focus on human and financial resources, continue to coordinate to continue perfecting programs and products, and initially conduct testing at the upcoming 9th National Assembly Session.

After listening to the opinions of a number of National Assembly deputies, representatives of the leadership of the National Assembly Office and a number of related units, the National Assembly Chairman reiterated that the Digital Popularization Movement was launched to implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, and requested the Ethnic Council, Committees and units under the National Assembly to begin research so that the software can be used immediately during the 44th Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

At the meeting, leaders of the National Assembly, agencies and units listened to presentations on the features of the National Assembly Digital Application 2.0 and virtual assistant software.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man commented: With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, domestic and foreign technology companies and experts, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation of the National Assembly has had positive changes.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, the National Assembly Standing Committee has established the National Assembly's Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and issued a Resolution on building and developing National Assembly number In the 2024-2026 period, the goal is that when the software catalogs are completed, each civil servant and official of the Nationalities Council, Committees, and units under the National Assembly will have a virtual assistant, which, according to assessments, can save up to 30% of working time, improving efficiency and productivity.

Delegates listened to representatives of Viettel Group introduce the National Assembly App 2.0 and new features; exchange and discuss improvements and upgrades of the application to most effectively serve the activities of National Assembly deputies and National Assembly agencies.

After listening to the report, the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged the efforts of Viettel Group in a very short time, working day and night to improve and add many new features to the National Assembly App 2.0.

President of the National Assembly Taking note of the opinions of the National Assembly deputies, the Group is requested to continue to closely coordinate with the National Assembly Office to absorb the opinions at the conference to complete the National Assembly App 2.0, speed up the installation, training, and support for National Assembly deputies, thereby being able to put it into trial operation right at the 9th Session in early May.

To achieve the goals and requirements for modern features and application performance of the National Assembly App 2.0, aiming at high efficiency, friendliness, and convenience for National Assembly deputies and officials and civil servants of National Assembly agencies, the National Assembly Chairman also requested the Ethnic Council, National Assembly Committees, and the National Assembly Office to closely coordinate, provide data for the above application, and soon deploy the application in the agencies' operations.

Introducing the National Assembly App 2.0, a representative of Viettel Group said that they have recently added a number of new features, improving system performance such as the feature of searching and accessing documents, expanding the search scope, not limited to each session; updating and arranging documents in order of priority, optimizing the feature of sharing documents online between delegates, increasing the speed of accessing the application when using documents...

The National Assembly App 2.0 also adds a feature that allows direct search within a text content to help query information quickly without having to read each page of the document; summarizes document pages with personal notes; divides documents into categories for easier search; integrates AI virtual assistant to support delegates in searching for information, integrates the text questioning function, allowing delegates to query the questioning content, contributing to the best support for the activities of National Assembly delegates and National Assembly agencies.
