Shocked to encounter fake 'doctor' at 'international' beauty salon, many people lost money unjustly

(DN)- Performing a series of techniques such as scar injection; weight loss, scar bottom excision; armpit odor implantation; scar laser; hair transplant; implantation or running the machine on the "sensitive part" of men... but Lucy International Beauty Salon (Tan Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City) could not present a license to operate medical examination and treatment. However, this facility still "carelessly" performs techniques that even specialist doctors do not dare to perform on patients.

Giving customers unlabeled drugs

Near the end of April 2025, after seeing an advertisement on social media, Mr. SVH, residing in Bac Son commune, Trang Bom district, went to Lucy International Beauty Salon (Dong Khoi street, Tan Hiep ward) for a service to increase the size of his "private area".

Initially, the staff of this cosmetic hospital advised Mr. H. to pay 15 million VND to increase the size of his "private area" by 2-3 cm in just the first time. However, Mr. H. found the price quite high, so after negotiating, Lucy International Cosmetic Hospital reduced it to 9.5 million VND, with a commitment to prolong sexual intercourse to 40 minutes and increase the size.

“I was examined and treated by a young man in a white coat, such as spraying medicine, running a machine, and prescribing oral and topical medications to take home. There were 2 bottles of topical medications (red and white) and 3 bottles of oral medications, all without labels. For the oral medications, this “doctor” told me to take them every 3 days. I took them as directed and felt the same, so I stopped immediately,” Mr. H. shared.

In the same situation as Mr. H., Mr. NCT, residing in Long Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district, also came to Lucy International Beauty Salon with the same wish. To "entice" customers, this beauty salon promised to give Mr. T. a free examination.

“However, as soon as I entered the beauty salon, I had to pay 1.5 million VND without any procedure. Afterwards, a “female doctor” (in a white coat) examined me and diagnosed me as being about to enter the impotence stage, with blue semen, so I needed urgent treatment. The cost of treatment was 30 million VND,” said Mr. T.

Also because of believing the advertisement, Ms. LTL, living in Bien Hoa city, went to Lucy International Beauty Salon with the desire to lose weight after giving birth. Here, Ms. L. was examined by 2 people in white coats, had her blood pressure measured and was diagnosed with level 3 obesity, with a lot of visceral fat.

“After the examination, they immediately charged me 6.5 million VND for the weight loss treatment and an additional 3 million VND bottle of ointment. But when I got home, I reconsidered and returned the bottle of ointment to get my money back. The second time I came back to use the visceral fat reduction machine, the facility was suddenly inspected,” Ms. L. shared.

"Enticing" customers to borrow credit to use services?

Ms. L. returned to Lucy International Beauty Salon for the third time to return her ticket for the fat reduction treatment and was fortunately refunded 50% of the money she had paid to this facility.

Unfortunately like Ms. L., Mr. T. complained that when he learned that he had no money for treatment, the staff of Lucy International Medical Center immediately introduced a "connection" for Mr. T. to borrow money to pay for this medical center. Accordingly, Mr. T. borrowed 30 million VND from FE Credit and had to pay 3.6 million VND per month for 12 months. After 8 days, Mr. T. went to Lucy International Medical Center for a follow-up examination as scheduled and immediately encountered an interdisciplinary inspection team of the Provincial Police and the Department of Health who were suddenly inspecting this facility.

“When they brought a “bank employee” to my place to ask me to borrow money, I was a bit suspicious. But today, seeing the inspection team, I was sure I was scammed,” Mr. T. was indignant.

Mr. T. said that he is the main worker - a mechanic with a salary of 12 million VND/month, his wife is a housewife. To have a better relationship, Mr. T. had the intention of going for a "makeover" but unexpectedly met a "fake doctor".

There are no topical medications or machines that increase the size of the “private area”

According to Dr. Vu Thanh Tung, Department of Andrology, Au Co Hospital, currently, there is no medicine or machine to increase the size of the "private area" of men. However, many places use vacuum machines inserted into the "sensitive" part of the patient, causing the tissue to swell, making the patient "mistake" that the machine is capable of increasing the size.

“But in reality, this action causes damage to blood vessels such as subcutaneous bleeding and edema for older people with underlying diseases. As for young people, this “technique” will be harmless,” Dr. Tung shared.

Collecting a lot of money from customers despite operating without a license

Located right on the main road, openly operating medical examination and treatment, recently, the Provincial Police and the Department of Health suddenly inspected Lucy International Beauty Salon. Although it performs weight loss treatments and increases the size of "sensitive parts" for customers, the facility could not present a license to operate medical examination and treatment at the time of inspection.

The list of customers that the interdisciplinary inspection team seized from this facility shows that this facility performs a series of techniques, such as scar injection; scar base excision; armpit odor implantation; scar laser; hair transplant; implantation or machine operation on the "sensitive part" of men... Many customers have paid quite large sums of money.

Thus, despite not having a license to operate medical examination and treatment, this facility still "innocently" performs techniques that even medical specialists do not dare to perform on patients.
