Guide to support intellectual property registration

The Department of Science and Technology has just issued a document guiding the implementation of support for intellectual property registration according to Resolution No. 30/2022/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the level of support for intellectual property registration in Dong Nai province until 2030.

Accordingly, the supported subjects include: state management agencies, political organizations, public service units in the province. Enterprises established and operating under the Enterprise Law, currently operating in production and business in the province. Other types of organizations operating in production and business, individuals living and working in the province according to the provisions of law.

Regarding the level of support, for domestic intellectual property registration support, the support level is 30 million VND/validly accepted application for patent protection. For registration for protection and recognition of new plant varieties, the support level is 30 million VND/validly accepted application and 15 million VND/protection certificate for industrial design and trademark protection.

For support in registering for intellectual property protection abroad, registering for protection of inventions, industrial designs, trademarks; registering for protection, recognition of new plant varieties, the support level is 60 million VND/validly accepted application, corresponding documents according to regulations of international organizations or countries submitting applications.

Note, support is only available to subjects with valid application acceptance documents/corresponding documents as prescribed by international organizations or application-submitting countries from January 1, 2023 onwards.
