Ta Ma - a magical flower stream in the mountains and forests before the festival opening day

Wildflowers cover Ta Ma stream in Binh Dinh

On March 11, Mr. Huynh Duc Bao, Permanent Vice Chairman of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee (Binh Dinh), said that the Ta Ma stream flower festival called "Fragrance and color of flower - blending with culture and nature" will take place in Ha Ri village, Vinh Hiep commune on March 22-23.

The festival is an event to introduce scenic spots, historical and cultural relics, experience points, promote the image of the homeland and people of Vinh Thanh to tourists. "The festival is organized with a variety of activities closely related to the lives of the Ba Na Kriem Vinh Thanh people. Therefore, visitors will experience many gong performances, xoang dances, traditional musical instruments; new rice festival performances... to serve visitors", Mr. Bao informed (Photo: Hieu Phan).

According to records in early March, hundreds of ancient forest trees were blooming brilliantly, densely packed on both banks of Ta Ma stream flowing through Ha Ri village, Vinh Hiep commune, Vinh Thanh district, creating a magical scene (Photo: Nguyen Dung).

Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang, Chairman of Vinh Hiep Commune People's Committee (Vinh Thanh District), said that this year, the flowers bloomed earlier than every year. Since the beginning of March, hundreds of tourists have flocked to Ta Ma stream every day to admire the unique beauty of the wild flowers and enjoy the cool space and cool stream with their families (Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan).

"On International Women's Day, March 8, thousands of people and tourists flocked to Ta Ma stream, so the local authorities had to send forces to regulate and direct traffic. About 70-80 tents serving tourists were all full, many tourists had to walk along the stream or spread tarps on both sides of the stream to find a place to sit and relax," said Mr. Quang (Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan).

According to the Ba Na people in Ha Ri village, the flower in Ta Ma stream is called K'súa, but many people often call it water trang flower. This type has a shape similar to the trang flower in the plains but grows in clusters and spreads across the canopy of large trees.

The special thing about the wild flowers in Vinh Hiep is that no two trees have the same color of flowers. Each tree has flowers of yellow-orange or red color, the only thing they have in common is that they only bloom in spring (Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan).
