Accident, passenger bus blocks Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway causing traffic jam

(NLDO) - After colliding with a car on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway, the passenger bus hit the median strip and blocked most of the road, causing a long traffic jam.


As of 5 a.m. on January 25, Cho Lau intersection (km162) was still temporarily closed, vehicles were being diverted off the highway and onto National Highway 1 due to an accident on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway.

Previously, at around 0:30 a.m. on January 25, on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, section km158 + 300 through Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, an accident occurred between a passenger bus and a car.

At that time, the sleeper bus with license plate 78B-008.37 was traveling from South to North when it had an accident with car 51L-214.50. The accident occurred 4 km from Cho Lau intersection. After colliding with the rear of the car, the bus hit the hard median strip in the middle of the road. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident.

At the scene, the body of the passenger bus blocked most of the road going south-north. Vehicles traveling in this direction had to queue up due to the narrowing of the road.

Authorities were present at the scene to regulate traffic and handle the accident. Traffic police temporarily closed the road at intersections and directed traffic to Highway 1.
