From classroom to startup playground
Standing out among dozens of ideas and projects entering the final round this year is the large participation of the student generation. Among them, there is a group of friends from Dai Son Primary and Secondary School (Dai Loc) with the project "Applied art products with multi-materials, environmentally friendly". Not simply a handmade product, the project also has the breath of the market when integrating unique elements and the ability to personalize according to customer needs.
Vo Gia Han - a member of the project team said: "These are products inspired by the green trend, using natural materials such as tree bark, paper, bamboo... to reduce environmental impact. Each design is unique, customized according to customer needs, so it is highly competitive. The team has started approaching stores in Hoi An, a tourist destination, and sold the first orders, aiming to expand on the digital platform in the next 5 years".

In addition to the students’ startup ideas, this year’s final round also witnessed the breakthrough of many projects with clear technological and social innovation colors. For example, the project of applying artificial intelligence (AI) to support disease diagnosis through voice of a group of students from Quang Nam University, a new approach in remote health care, especially useful in areas lacking specialist doctors.

Or the model of producing biofertilizer from organic waste developed by a group of young people from Tam Ky, aiming to promote the habit of sorting waste at the source, while aiming for an environmentally friendly agriculture. Meanwhile, a group of young people from Nui Thanh chose herbal brown rice cakes, blending the spirit of preserving indigenous values with the "eat clean" trend that is spreading among young people.

Each startup idea also reflects the young people’s perspective on the market, living environment and consumer behavior. The jury highly appreciated the confidence and innovation of the participating groups, especially when they were not afraid to experiment, even with small things, close to the reality of daily life. It is this spirit that has created vitality for the new phase of Quang Nam’s startup ecosystem: starting a business from the things that are present around us.
Towards a green ecosystem
The final round of the “Search for Quang Nam Startup Talent 2025” competition is truly an in-depth dialogue between startups and industry experts. Throughout the competition, the teams not only present to the jury, but also “dissect” every detail of their business model, from market positioning, product development strategy planning, to intellectual property protection and investment calling plans.

The atmosphere of the final round was not tense, but full of energy and encouragement. The jury, consisting of experts in the fields of science and technology, investment, intellectual property and business management, gave specific and practical suggestions, helping the young people recognize their strengths and weaknesses in their own journey.
According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Sinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Head of the Steering Committee for Supporting Innovative Startups in Quang Nam Province, this year's competition has a special meaning, closing the first phase of the Quang Nam startup ecosystem. This year's projects not only achieved a high number with nearly 70 nominations but also showed diversity in terms of fields, ages and regions of participation.

The Organizing Committee determined that from 2026, the Quang Nam startup ecosystem will enter a new phase: Starting a business to become an enterprise. Therefore, projects must start from their own products and service models, develop brands and protect intellectual property, and gradually connect with investors for long-term development.
"Every young person will encounter difficulties when starting out. The Council does not immediately evaluate success or failure, but considers it as the spirit of initiation, passion, and aspiration. The important thing is that from there, you must nurture the journey to the end, from perfecting the model to raising capital and developing the brand. The ecosystem will act as a platform to connect, orient, and minimize risks for the projects," said Mr. Sinh.
