Implementing Directive No. 42-CT/TW, dated March 24, 2015 of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for the young generation in the period 2015-2030, the Standing Committee of Tan Chau District Party Committee determined that this is a key, consistent, and long-term strategic political task in the cause of building and developing the young generation.
The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee directed the branches, grassroots Party Committees, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to implement synchronously and comprehensively throughout the entire political system. After 10 years of implementing Directive 42-CT/TW, Tan Chau district has achieved many positive results, contributingto educating and raising the sense of civic responsibility and national pride among union members and young people.
In particular, the dissemination and study of the Directive was organized in many forms, both in person and online, in regular and ad hoc meetings of the Party cell with a total of 212 meetings, attracting 2,523 cadres and party members to participate, reaching over 99% of the total number of cadres and party members in the area.
The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations organized 1,768 propaganda sessions with 55,825 household representatives participating, reaching 80.8% of households. Particularly for union members, 2,101 sessions were organized with 87,604 participants, reaching 90% of the total number of union members in the district. The District People's Committee organized 42 sessions in agencies and units, attracting 2,856 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to participate.
The Party branches and subordinate Party committees develop specific action programs, closely following the content of Directive 42-CT/TW and the practical situation of the locality and unit. The implementation is always closely linked to the Party's resolutions, directives and conclusions on education and building Vietnamese people to develop comprehensively, especially studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; at the same time, it is associated with the work of Party building and rectification and promoting the exemplary role of leaders.
The district’s Department of Education and Training is assigned the main responsibility for educating students in ideals. The implementation of moral and lifestyle education programs, combined with innovative teaching methods and improving the quality of education, is carried out in parallel to form a young generation that is both knowledgeable and has a strong political stance.
In the context of deep international integration and the strong development of information technology, modern cultural trends and the popularity of the internet and social networks have had and are having a profound impact on the awareness, behavior and lifestyle of the young generation in Tan Chau district in particular and the whole country in general.
Today, digital technology platforms are an open environment, creating favorable conditions for young people to access new knowledge, multi-dimensional information, and exchange and learn from domestic and international friends. Young people effectively utilize technology to study, work, start businesses, develop digital skills and create positive content.
Through platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Zalo... the spread of good values such as "Kind deeds", "Spreading love", "Youth movement to establish a career"... has contributed to arousing the spirit of volunteerism and community responsibility among the youth of the district.
Continuing to effectively implement Directive No. 42-CT/TW is an urgent requirement to strengthen the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for young people in a modern, attractive direction, suitable to the psychology and development needs of young people, while still maintaining political orientation and national cultural identity, thereby contributing to building a generation of Vietnamese youth who are both "red" and "expert" in the new era.
It can be affirmed that the work of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for young people is one of the key tasks contributing to building a strong successor generation for the Party and the country. In the coming time, the District Party Committee will continue to closely direct, regularly inspect, and supervise to ensure the implementation of Directive 42-CT/TW is highly effective, truly spreading widely in the community and the young generation.
