From academic pressure to motivation

Nguyen Phu Cuong is a former student of class 12TN1, Duc Hoa High School (Duc Hoa District, Long An ). In 2017, Cuong scored 27 points in block A in the national high school exam and was admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

During his first days in the university, Cuong was still confused because of the new learning environment. As he gradually got used to the university environment, Cuong made a plan to "skip the gate" to graduate ahead of schedule.
Sharing about the process of studying ahead, Cuong said he had to face a lot of pressure because he registered for many subjects. "At first, I was a bit hesitant, but with the urge to achieve the goal of studying ahead, I decided to register for many subjects. During the final exams with a lot of exercises and essays, there were times when I felt like giving up, but I told myself to turn the pressure into motivation," Cuong recounted.
As a result, Mr. Cuong graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 3.5 years, 1 semester early, with excellent grades and a total score of 8.16. He was one of the students honored at the graduation ceremony at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology on April 25.

“See the subject as a challenge to conquer”

Sharing his study tips, Cuong believes that young people need to practice perseverance and always find ways to change their study methods every day to improve.
“I just want to tell you that to study well, we must have a passion for the chosen field of study, and see the subjects as challenges to conquer. I think all subjects have their own position and value in society, which will help students in the future,” Cuong said.
In addition to studying, Cuong regularly participates in social activities to broaden his knowledge and gain a deeper insight into life. The new engineer also enjoys teaching and is tutoring physics for a 10th grader. He also plans to study a field other than engineering, such as business administration.
