Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thu Huong, President of Foreign Trade University, shared: “The 2025-2026 school year is of great significance, marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment and development of Foreign Trade University. On its development journey, the University has always strived to build and develop an open educational ecosystem with high international integration, encouraging learners to freely explore and promote their own potentials, to gradually foster the 6 core values of the University including creativity and excellence, responsibility and courage, diversity and harmony”.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thu Huong also sent a message to the new students: “Entering the university environment is entering the journey of “learning to master” our own growth process, when we will gradually define more clearly the “path” that we truly want to choose, when we understand more clearly what our “dream” is and what we must do to achieve that dream. You should start your journey by practicing doing a “difficult task” for yourself every day because when we practice doing difficult tasks, we are also training our own courage and discovering our own abilities, when you seek and promote excellence in each individual.”

At the ceremony, the school leaders awarded certificates of merit and medals to the new national valedictorians and school-wide valedictorians in the 2025 regular university entrance exam, as well as outstanding students with excellent achievements in studying, scientific research and extracurricular activities in the 2024-2025 school year.

In the 2025 university entrance exam, Foreign Trade University is honored to be chosen by many candidates with excellent academic results to register as their first choice.

The highlight of the ceremony was the traditional flag handover ceremony from the representative of the Valedictorian and Outstanding Students of Class 60 graduating in 2025 to the Valedictorians representing Class 64 - the young people who have just become members of the Foreign Trade Family and will certainly always keep the flame of enthusiasm and passion to learn, to commit, to grow and to together confidently continue to write the most beautiful pages in the journey and history of the School.

At the ceremony, the representative of the national organizing committee of the Vietnam Young Lions competition (the most prestigious competition in the field of Marketing and Communications in Vietnam) - AIM Academy continued to present the representative of the school's leadership with the award "The Most Winning University" in 2025 for its impressive achievements in the number of competing teams and the number of winning teams in many consecutive years. This is the second consecutive year that Foreign Trade University has been honored to receive the award.

Previously, from September 3 to September 5, 2025, Foreign Trade University organized a program to welcome new students of K64 to enroll at all 3 campuses nationwide. In order to help new students quickly get used to the living and learning environment at university level, the University implemented many support activities, including the special program of teachers "breaking the ice" with new students - "WE, THE ICEBREAKERS". This is a playground exclusively for new students, helping them adapt to the learning environment at the University, get to know new friends as well as have the opportunity to express their own colors with countless different interesting activities.

Stemming from the desire that every student after graduating will possess the core values of the School including: Excellence, Creativity, Responsibility, Courage, Diversity, and Harmony, the School has built a roadmap for each student according to each school year: First year "We - The Icebreakers", second year "We - The Innovators", third year "We - The Explorers", and fourth year "We - The Ambassadors".
