Increase night flights and special promotion packages to attract tourists to Ho Chi Minh City

(NADS) - Airlines and accommodation establishments in Ho Chi Minh City are working together to promote the use of night flights by offering attractive promotional packages to meet the increasing travel demand in the summer of 2024.

To meet the increasing travel demand of people during the peak summer season of 2024, airlines have made efforts to optimize their fleets and service personnel, and increase a series of night flights. This has contributed to cooling down airfares. However, in reality, night flights are not really attractive to passengers and many flights have to be canceled. Therefore, to attract passengers for night flights, cooperation from relevant parties is needed.

Ho Chi Minh City strives to serve tourists

Implementing the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, on June 20, 2024, the Department of Tourism coordinated with the City Tourism Association and Vietnam Airlines Corporation to organize a meeting with travel businesses and tourist accommodation establishments on promoting tourists to use night flight products in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam Airlines has encouraged tourist accommodation establishments to participate in building a package product combining air tickets with reasonable and attractive prices for flights before 06:00 am and after 21:00 pm. Participating accommodation establishments will waive or discount 80% for the first night when guests stay at least 03 nights.

As of July 8, 2024, 16 tourist accommodation establishments in the City have registered to participate with a reduction of 20% to 100% of the room rate for the first night according to the listed price. From the second night, the listed price or 60% discount will apply, depending on each unit. Specifically as follows:

Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel offers a 45% discount on the first night's room rate, from the second night the listed price applies, free 1-way airport transfer by 7-seat car between 10:00 and 22:00 on check-out day with a minimum stay of 3 nights.

A25 hotel system (06 facilities) has created 02 promotional packages: 2N2D accommodation package with 50% discount on the first night's room rate and 20% discount on the second night; 3N3D accommodation package with 70% discount on the first night's room rate and 20% discount from the second night.

Liberty Central Saigon Hotel System (3 locations: Riverside, Citypoint, Centre) offers 50% discount on the first night's room rate, from the second night onwards, the listed price applies.

The Myst Hotel offers a 49% discount on the first night's room rate, and a 53% discount from the second night, including breakfast buffet, mini afternoon tea buffet every day from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and free use of the pool, gym, sauna, and steam bath.

Based on the registration of these 16 units, Vietnam Airlines will proactively contact and work to build combo packages including round-trip air tickets and 02 or 03 nights of hotel accommodation in the city. This is to attract more tourists to Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.
