Strengthening propaganda and forest protection management

According to the provincial Forest Protection Department, this unit has strengthened propaganda work, promoting the effectiveness of forest management and protection. Up to now, the Forestry Department has directly propagated 21 times with 496 participants. At the same time, it has coordinated with the commune radio station to broadcast propaganda 191 times; signed a commitment to protect forests for 66 households living near the forest; conducted mobile propaganda by loudspeaker 5 times; distributed 750 leaflets on forest management, protection and development; and installed 22 signs prohibiting fire and deforestation.

In addition, the Provincial Forest Protection Department coordinates with local and central press agencies to propagate policies and disseminate laws on forest development and protection; forest fire prevention and fighting in the province.

Regarding forest protection, the Forestry Department has patrolled and inspected forests 317 times in the whole province and neighboring forest areas. From there, the department has recorded 26 cases (18 cases of illegal deforestation, with a damaged area of 1.53 hectares, including: 1.445 hectares of special-use forests, 0.085 hectares of protective forests; 8 cases of violations of general regulations of the State on forest protection, illegal storage of forest products, illegal transportation of forest products); administratively handled 13 cases. Confiscated forest products were ^{3.174m3 of} common wood of various types; the budget collected 95.6 million VND (fine 22.5 million VND, proceeds from selling confiscated forest products 73.1 million VND).
