Strengthen inspection of industrial catering facilities and school kitchens

The conference was attended by nearly 200 delegates who were members of the Steering Committee, the Steering Committee's support team, representatives of businesses with collective kitchens, education and training departments and kindergartens in the province.

Speaking at the Conference, the representative of the Department of Health emphasized that the work of ensuring food safety in the province is still facing difficulties and challenges, specifically: The management of small-scale production and business establishments, especially street food establishments, is still facing many difficulties; the situation of smuggled food, fake food, and unsafe food still exists in the market; the business and advertising of functional foods in violation of the law, especially on social networks, is complicated and difficult to manage. Therefore, the risk of food safety loss in collective kitchens is always present.

The Department of Health conducts training on food safety regulations for businesses with collective kitchens, food production, processing and trading establishments and kindergartens in the province.

During this year’s Food Safety Action Month (from April 15 to May 15), Thai Nguyen province has identified a number of key tasks and solutions, including strengthening inspections and strictly handling violations, especially at industrial catering establishments, street stalls and school kitchens. Surprise inspections will be strongly deployed throughout the province.

The province's interdisciplinary inspection team inspected compliance with food safety regulations at a ham production facility and some processed foods in Dong Quang ward (Thai Nguyen city).

On this occasion, delegates participated in in-depth training on legal regulations related to food safety for food production and trading establishments; regulations on administrative sanctions for food safety violations, 3-step food inspection process and food sample storage according to the latest regulations...
