On behalf of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, there was Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat - Member of the Executive Council, Head of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; along with Venerable monks and senior monks in the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha attending the meeting.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh informed about the outstanding results of the province's socio -economic situation in the first 6 months of 2025. Notably, the growth rate of the total product in the province (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 7%; industrial production (IIP) increased by 4.6% over the same period; agricultural production (agriculture, forestry, fishery) continued to increase quite well. Tourism activities took place vibrantly, the whole province welcomed about 5.540 million visitors, revenue reached over 15,000 billion VND. The fields of trade, services, and transportation well met the needs of people and tourists. The situation of attracting non-budget investment projects continued to have positive results... Along with that, the province has implemented a series of major tasks, policies, and resolutions of the Central Government. In particular, the work of arranging and organizing the apparatus was promptly deployed, stabilizing the ideology of cadres, civil servants and public employees to urgently perform their tasks immediately after the merger, without interrupting the common work... The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that in that result, there was an important contribution from Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the province.
Reporting at the meeting, Venerable Thich Nguyen Nguyet - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, concurrently the Chief Secretary, said: The whole province has 296 monasteries with over 1,068 monks and nuns. In the first 6 months of 2025, monks and nuns, Buddhists in the province have united and actively participated in the movement to benefit the country, benefit the people, and social welfare... Notably, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province successfully organized the Vesak Buddha's Birthday Festival, Buddhist calendar 2569, with many unique and meaningful activities that left an impression on the hearts of people and tourists inside and outside the province. Along with that, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province coordinated with localities to join hands to build 11 gratitude houses; organized 9 zero-dong markets on the occasion of Lunar New Year and the 2025 Buddha's Birthday Festival; organized visits and gifts for orphans and people in difficult circumstances... with a total value of more than 17 billion VND. The Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha proposed that the Provincial People's Committee create favorable conditions for organizing summer retreats; pay attention to creating favorable conditions for the Church to establish Monasteries...
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh congratulated the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha for successfully organizing the Vesak Festival, Buddhist calendar 2569, and acknowledged and highly appreciated the charitable, humanitarian and social security activities that the Executive Committees of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in districts, towns and cities have carried out in the past time, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
In the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh requested the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to continue to call on and guide monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province to comply with the provisions of the law in all activities; continue to participate and actively respond to patriotic emulation movements launched by local authorities; accompany local authorities in volunteer activities, social security...
In the process of implementing religious activities and related contents, if there is any content that needs support, please inform and report to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions) for timely support and guidance in accordance with regulations.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to support and create favorable conditions for the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its affiliated religious organizations to operate in accordance with the provisions of law and regulations of the Central Sangha; promptly resolve or advise and propose the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve the legitimate and legal needs of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in accordance with the provisions of law and the actual situation of the locality.
Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat - Member of the Executive Council, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, thanked the province for creating favorable conditions for the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province to carry out religious activities according to legitimate aspirations, in accordance with the provisions of the State law. In the coming time, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province will continue to promote the fine traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism, strictly implement the motto of the Sangha: "Dharma - Nation - Socialism", always closely associated with and accompanying the Party Committee, government and people in the province to strive to contribute to building the homeland increasingly prosperous.
After a working session, exchanging information, with an open, frank and receptive spirit, the working session between the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha ended and achieved good results. Thereby, strengthening the close relationship between the authorities at all levels with the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, affiliated religious organizations and monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province.
