Donating thousands of new clothes to children in flood-affected areas

Storm No. 3 Yagi left serious and heavy consequences for the northern provinces, especially the highland provinces. Traffic was cut off, production activities were halted, children had to stop going to school due to floods. Many houses were swept away by floods, schools were inundated, causing damage to infrastructure.

As a business specializing in providing nutritious meals for students in schools, although the business is also suffering heavy damage caused by storm No. 3, nearly 90% of the greenhouse system for growing clean vegetables was damaged, but with the spirit of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", when hearing that the Golden Heart Charity Social Fund launched the program "Millions of arms to support compatriots affected by storms and floods", the board of directors of Huong Viet Sinh Company was ready to participate in support.

"We want to send warm clothes to the people in the flooded areas, especially the students whose houses were swept away by the floodwaters. They will have new clothes to wear. We also want to send thousands of hugs, hoping that the people will safely overcome this fierce flood" - a representative of Huong Viet Sinh Company shared.

Through the Golden Heart Social Fund, Huong Viet Sinh Company Limited has donated 2,540 sets of clothes to people in the Northern provinces affected by storms and floods, especially children, so that they will have new clothes to return to school and start the new school year.

The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund was established nearly 30 years ago, also starting from the idea of launching a campaign to support flood victims in the provinces of the Southwest region. By August 2001, the Golden Heart Labor Fund was upgraded to the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and expanded its activities to the entire national union cadre system.
