Accelerate, break through, strive for growth from 8%

The Resolution of the 11th Central Conference, 13th tenure has unified the viewpoints and goals of national construction and development in the coming period. Many new points have been developed, supplemented and emphasized by the Central Committee, including some contents on maintaining a peaceful and stable environment; rapid and sustainable development based on science-technology, innovation and digital transformation; and comprehensive improvement and enhancement of people's lives.

Many tourists have chosen the railway for their travel.

Implementing the Central's direction, local Party committees and leaders have promptly concretized it with specialized resolutions and action programs with groups of solutions to create motivation and take drastic actions to reach the finish line with the highest results. Accordingly, the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation has issued a specialized resolution on striving for growth of 8% or more in the production and business plan for 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years.

According to Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation Dang Sy Manh, the Party Committee of the Corporation determined that 2025 is the year of acceleration and breakthrough to achieve the highest results for the targets set out in the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Corporation for the term 2020-2025; 5-year development investment plan 2021-2025, creating a foundation for development in the period 2026-2030.

The Party Committee and leaders of the Corporation proactively proposed and coordinated with ministries, departments, branches and competent authorities to drastically and effectively deploy contents related to the railway industry to carry out 3 strategic breakthroughs in digital institutions, digital infrastructure and digital human resources; 6 key tasks and 12 main groups of solutions stated in resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government.

Work content groups and implementation solutions are detailed; assigned and divided according to functions and tasks, with clear responsibilities, addresses, deadlines, and results.

Vietnam Railway Corporation focuses on innovation and improving service quality to accelerate development.

The bright spot that shows the determination to change the thinking and way of doing things in the production and business activities of the Corporation is the ability to adapt flexibly, research and analyze the market; not considering holidays, Tet, summer days as transportation campaigns, reserved for peak times, but defining them as regular, continuous, daily tasks. The selection of a consulting unit to re-plan railway stations and facilities in a centralized direction while closely managing, aims to create new development space.

With the motto of clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear responsibility, clear results, clear authority, Vietnam Railways Corporation has issued a list of key tasks for 2025. In addition to regular tasks, departments and units are responsible for completing assigned key tasks on time in 2025.

In particular, focus on completing the upgrading and renovation of Song Than station to build a logistics center with conditions for monitoring and customs declaration to serve international railway transportation; complete the upgrading and renovation of Dieu Tri station; repair the Kep station cargo yard...; complete the construction of human resource management software applicable to units under the Corporation.

The subordinate Party Committees urgently implement Resolution No. 29 of the Party Committee of the Corporation to implement the National Assembly's resolutions on the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; the Lao Cai- Hanoi -Hai Phong railway project; build and adjust the tasks, targets of the production, business and investment development plan for 2025 and the following years of the Corporation according to the direction of competent authorities and in accordance with actual conditions and situations.

With high political determination, promoting tradition, striving for self-reliance, effective cooperation, streamlining and breakthrough, creating the future, the Corporation directs synchronous implementation in all areas. From construction, training, industrial development, receiving management, maintenance, operation; aiming to exploit new connecting railway lines, high-speed railway; creating resources in terms of capital and technology, gradually accumulating experience, modernizing and doing business effectively, so that the growth target of 8% or more in 2025 and double digits in the following years is completely feasible.

The results of the implementation of production and business tasks in 2025 will create a driving force to promote the restructuring of Vietnam Railway Corporation in the direction of the Group model, as directed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee for important national railway projects and works, in Notice No. 157/TB-VPCP, dated April 5, 2025 of the Government Office.
