According to statistics of Binh Phuoc ward, the project affects 931 plots of land; of which, 864 plots are owned by households, individuals and organizations. To speed up the progress, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc ward has launched a "90 days and nights of speed, determination and efficiency" emulation movement to complete land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement.
Up to now, the Ward People's Committee has achieved important initial results, with the issuance of the Decision approving the compensation, support and resettlement plan in 2 phases. A total of 44 plots of land, corresponding to 33 households, individuals and organizations have been approved with a total area of 26.24 hectares and a total route length of about 4 km.
Up to now, thanks to the government's strong involvement in propaganda and close mobilization, many households in Binh Phuoc ward have promptly handed over the site so that the construction unit can promptly implement the project. People expressed their consensus and wished that the project would be implemented quickly and on schedule. At the same time, people also requested the government to continue to speed up the approval of compensation plans and provide reasonable support to the remaining households so that they can soon hand over the site, thereby ensuring the overall progress of the entire project as planned.
Typically, Mr. Truong Minh Luong's family in Ward 6 was a pioneer since the project was launched, the whole family was very supportive from the beginning. The total area recovered was more than 3.4 hectares. The entire rubber area being harvested was 15 years old and the cashew was 25 years old. Mr. Luong shared: "My family was very supportive, all family members supported this project from the beginning. After the completion of the main road, people's travel will be very convenient."
“From the beginning, I was very interested in this highway project. I agreed on the unit price. The Regional Land Fund Development Center asked me to cut trees and hand over the site to the construction unit soon. I signed the handover of the site before September 30 and now, I have cut trees to hand over the site to the construction unit soon, ensuring progress,” Mr. Luong added.

Mr. Le Tuan Anh's family had 2.8 hectares of rubber plantation land confiscated for 8 years in the exploitation phase. He assessed that the compensation value of the state was reasonable for his family and temporarily achieved compared to the market price. Mr. Le Tuan Anh personally agreed and supported the project because this is the development of the locality.
“Although my family was a bit hesitant at first, with the encouragement of the local government, we agreed. In addition to compensation for land and trees, my family also received support from the government for job conversion and rice money for 3 months. I hope the road will soon be implemented on schedule to contribute to the development of the local economy ,” added Mr. Le Tuan Anh.
In November, in Binh Phuoc ward, households handed over more than 4 km of land. According to the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc ward, the ward will continue to approve plans. Once the plan is approved, money will be spent and people will be encouraged to hand over land to ensure progress.
According to Mr. Dao Dinh Chi, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Ward People's Committee, the North-South Expressway project section passing through Binh Phuoc Ward, Binh Phuoc Ward People's Committee has coordinated with Dong Xoai Area Land Fund Development Center to approve the compensation plan in 2 phases with a total route length of about 4 km.
Currently, the locality has mobilized people and cut trees to hand over the land. The Regional Land Fund Development Center has completed the posting of the draft compensation plan with a rate of over 90%.

However, in some densely populated areas with many affected houses and buildings, many households have reported that the land compensation price is still low during the process of collecting opinions on the draft. Mr. Dao Dinh Chi said that according to the compensation process, this is only the step of posting the draft. In the near future, the authorities will organize direct consultation sessions and dialogue with the people.
Based on the feedback from the people at the dialogue, the Ward People's Committee will coordinate with the Land Fund Development Center to summarize the difficulties, problems and recommendations. After that, these agencies will coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to propose solutions, ensuring the maximum legitimate rights of people in the project area.
Identifying this as a national key project, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the ward are very interested in this project. The Standing Committee of the Binh Phuoc Ward Party Committee has established a Steering Committee to mobilize land clearance work. "We hope that people in the project area will agree with the Party and State's policies and comply with the handover of land so that the project can be implemented soon. In the coming time, the ward will continue to carry out this campaign by approving plans and paying compensation, then mobilizing people to hand over land to ensure progress. At the same time, the locality will continue to mobilize people to agree to implement the project, ensure the progress of land handover, and implement construction in accordance with the direction of the Provincial People's Committee," Mr. Chi emphasized.
In fact, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward has rewarded households whose land was recovered and agreed to hand over the land early to implement the expressway project passing through the area. In addition, agencies, units, the Front and organizations in the area have also signed a commitment to implement the progress of land recovery, compensation, support and resettlement for the project section passing through the area.
