Nestled along the majestic Tam Dao mountain range, Dai Tu district boasts abundant tourism resources, with many unique scenic spots and natural landscapes. It is also a land steeped in history, with 169 historical sites within its boundaries. In recent years, the district has successfully exploited its tourism potential and strengths, establishing itself on the Thai Nguyen tourism map with new and attractive experiential tourism products.

With 10 communes and towns nestled along the Tam Dao mountain range – Ky Phu, La Bang, Hoang Nong, Phu Xuyen, Quan Chu – Dai Tu boasts enchanting natural lakes and waterfalls, and rolling hills of tea plantations, creating a landscape that is both majestic and peaceful, poetic and charming.

Recognizing its tourism potential, Dai Tu has gradually developed tourism products based on the district's conditions, including: community-based tourism, agricultural tourism associated with tea culture; historical and spiritual tourism; and ecotourism and resort tourism. Dai Tu's goal is to gradually make tourism a key economic sector of the district.

Accordingly, Dai Tu district has implemented a plan for tourist destinations within the district, while also allocating funds and mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure development, expansion, and restoration of historical sites such as: the Van Mountain - Vo Mountain National Historical Site, the July 27th National Historical Site, the National Historical Site where the first Communist Party branch of Thai Nguyen province was established, the Youth Volunteer Historical Site... with a total budget of nearly 300 billion VND.

In addition, the district is focusing its resources and investing heavily in developing transportation infrastructure to facilitate travel for residents and attract tourists.

In addition, the district is stepping up its propaganda efforts and organizing tourism training courses for officials and civil servants in charge of tourism at the commune level. Training on rural tourism development was also conducted in La Bang and Hoang Nong communes for village heads, Party branch secretaries, key figures, and local cultural and artistic clubs.

Organize training sessions for officials and stakeholders involved in tourism services to learn from practical experiences in developing community tourism and rural tourism in provinces such as Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, and Thanh Hoa. This will help raise awareness, improve skills, and change the mindset of local officials and people regarding tourism development.

Community-based tourism, rural tourism, and experiential tourism models have spread widely, gaining the consensus of local people to participate in tourism. In communes and towns with natural and traditional cultural tourism resources that attract tourists (such as La Bang, Hoang Nong, and Quan Chu communes), many families have invested in building homestays and developing accommodation and food services.

Some cooperatives and tea production facilities have built processing areas, product display and sales areas, and spacious tea tasting spaces, accommodating large groups of visitors for sightseeing and experiences. Besides community-based tourism models associated with tea culture, other agricultural tourism experience models have also emerged in the district, such as the grape and strawberry garden experience in Khoi Ky commune, the pomelo garden in Hoang Nong commune, and the flower garden in La Bang commune…

In particular, the two communes of La Bang and Hoang Nong have developed eco-tourism, cultural, historical, and spiritual tourism, as well as community-based and agricultural tourism associated with tea culture. This involves linking experiential tourism with spiritual culture, preserving and promoting festivals such as the Dai Tu Tea Festival, the Nghe Festival, and the Van-Vo Mountain Festival; and intangible cultural heritage such as the Then singing and Tinh lute playing of the Tay ethnic group, the Coming-of-Age ceremony and New Year's dance of the Dao ethnic group, and the Soong Co singing of the San Diu and San Chay ethnic groups… to serve tourists and visitors seeking relaxation.

To enhance the appeal of its tourism products, La Bang commune has established a traditional performing arts troupe to entertain tourists, allowing them to enjoy and learn more about the traditional culture of the local ethnic minorities. Initially, connections have been made to form eco-tourism tours combining visits to historical sites, such as: Nui Coc Lake - the 27th of July historical site - Truc Lam Tay Truc Zen Monastery; Nui Coc Lake - the 27th of July historical site - the location of the first Communist Party branch of Thai Nguyen province - the tea culture space - La Bang stream… This has attracted an increasing number of tourists to the area.

According to surveys conducted in June and July, Tan Son tourist destination (La Bang) welcomed 7,000 visitors, generating revenue of 1.8 billion VND; Quan Chu attracted approximately 9,000 visitors, earning around 700 million VND. The highest number of visitors was on the holidays of April 30th, May 1st, and September 2nd, with over 10,000 visitors each.

Comrade Nguyen Dang Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dai Tu District, said: To date, the district has planned concentrated tea production areas linked to tourism development in La Bang, Phu Xuyen, and Hoang Nong communes; and is currently implementing detailed planning for the construction of tourist destinations in La Bang and Hoang Nong communes. Following this, Dai Tu will actively attract investment in resort tourism projects in Tan Thai commune and resort-entertainment and sports tourism projects in the Nui Coc Lake area; and ecological, resort, and sports tourism projects in Quan Chu town and Cat Ne commune. Simultaneously, the district will focus on disseminating information and promoting the potential of local historical sites and scenic spots, connecting them to gradually form tourism routes; introducing the people, potential, and tourism advantages of the locality, and providing necessary information related to community tourism...
