At 1:30 a.m. on August 26, the ship was washed ashore by waves in Binh village, Tien Trang commune, about 70-100 meters from shore. Upon inspection, it was determined that this was the Thanh Thanh Dat 99 transport ship, 151 meters long, 26 meters wide, with 19 crew members, captained by Hoang Van Hop (from Nghe An ).
According to initial information, on the afternoon of August 25, the ship left Tinh Long port ( Nam Dinh ) to transport goods to Nghi Son port. However, when entering the anchorage area, due to the influence of large waves and strong winds, the ship could not drop anchor and drifted onto the shoal.
Fortunately, all 19 crew members were safe. The captain proactively contacted Nghi Son Port Authority for assistance in bringing the ship ashore.
Sam Son Border Guard Station is monitoring the situation and coordinating with functional forces to deploy plans to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
