Releasing over 81 thousand fish fry into Da River Lake

On October 24, at the Da River reservoir, Ta Khoa commune, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Son La coordinated with the communes of Bac Yen, Ta Khoa, Pac Nga, and Chieng Sai to release fish fry to restore aquatic resources.

More than 81 thousand fish fry of various kinds including silver carp, bighead carp, bighead carp, and giant catfish were released into the Da River reservoir. This is an annual program to supplement some native aquatic species, especially those of high economic value.

Along with releasing fish fry, localities have stepped up propaganda work to raise awareness and responsibility of the community in protecting the ecosystem, not using destructive exploitation methods such as explosives, electric shocks or toxic chemicals, contributing to the regeneration and diversification of aquatic resources in natural water bodies in Son La province, creating sustainable livelihoods and improving people's lives.
