Thai Nguyen aims to attract 100,000 people to participate in traditional martial arts

On February 25, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to report on the progress of the implementation of the Plan for the Development of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts in Thai Nguyen in 2025. Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments, branches, units and martial arts masters and heads of martial arts schools.

According to the plan, the province aims to have 30% of primary, secondary, high schools, colleges and universities in the area establish and operate traditional martial arts clubs by the end of 2025, aiming to reach 100% by 2030. At the same time, 50% of armed forces in the area will apply traditional martial arts in training.

The province also aims to have at least 100,000 people participating in training at traditional martial arts clubs and schools. In terms of sports , the province's athletes strive to be in the top 10 at the 2025 National Traditional Martial Arts Championship, with 2-3 athletes achieving national master status and 3-5 athletes achieving national level I by the end of 2025.

In addition, the system of traditional martial arts training and competition houses will be strongly developed ineducational institutions, expanding the community of practitioners in the province. The province also plans to organize the Night of the Stage event and bring traditional martial arts performances to tourist destinations, creating martial arts events of national and international scale...

At the meeting, delegates discussed and proposed many solutions to promote the traditional martial arts movement, emphasizing the training of coaches, ensuring teaching quality and developing the movement. Building a team of highly qualified and experienced coaches and martial arts masters is a key factor to maintain and develop the traditional martial arts movement.

The organization also needs to improve its professionalism through the establishment of specialized committees, communication committees and sponsorship committees, thereby raising the level of traditional martial arts tournaments.

In addition, the introduction of traditional martial arts into education is proposed through integrating this subject into the physical education program, creating a training playground for students...

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Martial Arts Federation and relevant agencies to advise and implement a plan to improve the Provincial Martial Arts Federation, professional committees, the Arbitration Committee, the Fundraising Committee, and the Communications Committee. The goal is to improve professionalism in organizing and developing the traditional martial arts movement in the province.

In addition, the province will also sign cooperation agreements on traditional martial arts with partners, in order to create strong support in developing the traditional martial arts movement in Thai Nguyen... The synchronous implementation of these plans not only contributes to preserving and promoting the value of traditional martial arts but also creates momentum to promote the development of sports, culture and tourism in the province.
