Thai Nguyen: Positive signals from the retail market

Trade and service activities in Thai Nguyen province are recording many positive signs in the last months of the year - the peak period of shopping and consumption demand.

Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province in October reached over VND8,049.5 billion, up 2.3% over the same period.

According to statistics, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of the whole province in October reached over VND 8,049.5 billion, up 2.3% over the same period; accumulated in the first 10 months of 2025 reached VND 85,545.1 billion, up 15% over the same period.

Of which, retail sales of goods continued to be the main group, accounting for about 70% of total revenue, with 59,675.3 billion VND, up 13.2%. Accommodation and food services reached 15,427.3 billion VND, up 18.6%. Travel services and other services, although accounting for a small proportion, recorded strong growth, respectively 24% and 20%...

The steady growth of the retail sector shows that consumer confidence is gradually recovering, while commercial enterprises, supermarkets and modern retail systems in the area have proactively prepared goods and stimulated early consumption to welcome the year-end shopping season and Lunar New Year.

It is forecasted that the remaining months of the year will continue to be an acceleration period for the retail market, when purchasing power increases sharply thanks to promotional programs, discounts, and people's shopping needs during Tet. This is considered a positive signal, creating growth momentum for the trade and service sector of Thai Nguyen this year.
