On the morning of April 26, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province andSun Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Am Tien Cable Car and Commercial Service Area project - the first item in the Am Tien Spiritual Tourism and Historical Relic Complex, with a total investment of up to 35,000 billion VND in Nua town, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, along with leaders of central ministries and branches, leaders of Thanh Hoa province and Sun Group Corporation, performed groundbreaking ceremonies for the 35,000 billion VND spiritual tourism project.
The Am Tien spiritual tourism complex and historical relic project with the name "Am Tien Legend - Legend of Am Tien", "White Spiritual Area" is implemented in the Nua mountain area, belonging to the Nua - Am Tien temple complex, a place associated with the heroic uprising of Ba Trieu. This place, along with Ba Den mountain (Tay Ninh) and Da Chong mountain (Ba Vi, Hanoi ), is recognized as one of the three sacred acupuncture points of Vietnam, where sacred energy converges and heaven and earth are in harmony.
"Am Tien Legend" is expected to not only be a destination for Thanh people, but also a pilgrimage site for hundreds of thousands of domestic and international tourists - a new spiritual center of Northern Vietnam, where spirituality, heritage and cultural depth converge.
With a total area of nearly 350 hectares, the project consists of 3 phases. Phase 1 is the Commercial Service Area and Cable Car with a scale of 31.74 hectares, with a total investment of 2,969 billion VND; Phase 2 will implement the Tourism Service Area and Cultural Landscape Axis with a scale of 58.62 hectares, with a total investment of 9,634 billion VND; Phase 3 will form an Eco-tourism Resort with a scale of 295.64 hectares, with a total investment of 22,429 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Permanent Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, said: "White Spiritual Tourism Area" is a passion of Sun Group and considered a cultural mission. Because, this is not simply a matter of awakening a sacred land, but of creating a cultural - spiritual tourism center of international stature.

We believe that from Am Tien, Thanh Hoa will have a new symbol, to strongly rise on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Permanent Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said that this is a meaningful event affirming the potential, strengths and important results in the effort to promote the cultural and historical values of Thanh Hoa to develop tourism and promote socio-economic development.
"Sun Group's tourism ecosystem in Thanh Hoa has been constantly improving with new and unique experiences, bringing Thanh Hoa to great strides to become the new tourism capital of Vietnam," Mr. Thi shared.
Perspective of the project "White spiritual tourism area" on the top of Nua mountain
According to the investor, the entire "Am Tien Legend" project will be completed between 2027 and 2030. Phase 1 is expected to put the cable car line into operation in 2027. In Phase 2, Sun Group strives to complete the statue of the Great Sun Buddha. The remaining items will continue to be implemented in parallel, aiming to reach the finish line simultaneously in 2030.
Phase 1 will construct 2 out of 4 routes in the single-wire cable car system, creating a backbone traffic route connecting all important components of the project, from the foot of the mountain to the Buddha statue area. Route 1 is 1.2 km long, route 2 is 1.5 km long, taking visitors through green forests, with the architectural highlight being the cable car station inspired by conical hats, communal house roofs, and ao dai motifs.
