On the morning of April 18, the Vietnam Philosophy Association and the Academy of Politics Region II jointly organized the Congress to establish the Philosophy Association of the Academy of Politics Region II.

Attending the congress were Prof. Dr. Le Huu Nghia, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, President of the Vietnam Philosophy Association; Major General, Prof. Dr. Truong Giang Long, former Director of the People's Public Security Political Academy, member of the Standing Committee, Vice President of the Philosophy Association in charge of the South. On the side of the Political Academy Region II, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Academy; Assoc. The association initially had 17 members who were lecturers and researchers of the Philosophy Department at the Regional Political Academy II, Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, People's Security University, People's Police University, and Tran Dai Nghia University.

ACADEMY PROVIDERS

The Association presented an action plan to strengthen solidarity, gather a wide range of philosophy researchers and lecturers who have been doing research and teaching philosophy at the Regional Political Academy II and expand exchanges and connections with academies, universities, and philosophy research centers in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces and cities to exchange and learn from each other about expertise.

The Congress voted for a 5-member Executive Committee with Dr. Than Ngoc Anh as President of the Philosophy Association.
