On March 22, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong signed an official dispatch announcing the resolution of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly.
Accordingly, on March 22, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue signed to certify Resolution No. 1012/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the establishment of An Dien ward and An Tay ward in Ben Cat town and the establishment of Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province.
This Resolution was passed by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, XVth tenure, 31st session on March 19, 2024.
The resolution clearly states the establishment of An Dien ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 31.22 km2 and population of 25,363 people of An Dien commune.
An Dien ward borders An Tay, My Phuoc, Thoi Hoa wards, Phu An commune; Bau Bang district and Dau Tieng district;
An Tay ward was established on the basis of the entire natural area of 44.01 km2 and the population of 41,917 people of An Tay commune. An Tay ward borders An Dien ward, Phu An commune; Dau Tieng district and Ho Chi Minh city.
Establish Ben Cat city on the basis of the entire natural area of 234.35 km2 and population of 364,578 people of Ben Cat town, Binh Duong province.
Ben Cat city borders Tan Uyen city, Thu Dau Mot city, Bau Bang, Bac Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng districts and Ho Chi Minh City.
After its establishment, Ben Cat city has 8 commune-level administrative units, including 7 wards: An Dien, An Tay, Chanh Phu Hoa, Hoa Loi, My Phuoc, Tan Dinh, Thoi Hoa and Phu An commune.
Binh Duong province has 9 district-level administrative units, including 4 districts and 5 cities; 91 commune-level administrative units, including 39 communes, 47 wards and 5 towns.
Establish Ben Cat City People's Court on the basis of inheriting Ben Cat Town People's Court, Binh Duong province.
Establish Ben Cat City People's Procuracy on the basis of inheriting Ben Cat Town People's Procuracy, Binh Duong province.
This Resolution comes into force from May 1, 2024.
The Government, People's Council, People's Committee of Binh Duong province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and stabilizing the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense, security, order and social safety in the area.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, within the scope of their duties and powers, are responsible for arranging the organizational structure, deciding on the staffing, number of judges, prosecutors, other civil servants and employees of the People's Court and the People's Procuracy of Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province according to the provisions of law.
Agencies, organizations and units whose names are associated with the names of newly established administrative units must complete the name change to operate with names consistent with the prescribed administrative units from the effective date of this resolution.
