Vietnamese and Chinese youth extend the bridge of friendship

On April 17 in Quang Ninh, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) held the closing ceremony of the 24th Vietnam - China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2025. During the 6-day exchange, delegates from both countries visited, learned about the reality and shared experiences in union work, contributing to enhancing understanding and connecting the youth of the two countries.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation; Mr. Tang Due, Editor-in-Chief of the China Youth Newspaper, Head of the Chinese Youth Delegation; Mr. Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam emphasized that Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers, and the people of the two countries have many similarities in cultural traditions and customs. The Youth Union of the two countries has been, is and will continue to be a bridge of friendship connecting the youth and people of Vietnam and China. This year's Meeting Program is an important demonstration in concretizing the results and the High-level Joint Statement, contributing to promoting to the young generations of the two countries about new developments in Vietnam-China relations.

Within the framework of the Meeting program, the youth of the two countries exchanged and reviewed stories about the close friendship between the two Parties, two States and peoples. The young delegates also shared experiences, learned about the model of the Youth Union and youth movements of each country; at the same time, discussed and agreed on specific directions and contents to jointly build practical exchange activities in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam expressed his hope that after returning to the country, the Chinese youth delegates will convey to the Chinese youth and people the warm feelings and sincere friendship of the Vietnamese youth and people as well as their understanding of the country, people and culture of Vietnam.

Representative of the Chinese youth delegation, Mr. Zeng Rui said that during the 6 days of the program, the delegation had memorable experiences in the capital Hanoi , Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh - lands rich in identity and tradition.

In addition to the main activities, the Chinese delegation also visited and learned about the reality at schools, businesses and residential areas in Vietnam. Through that, they deeply felt the sincere and warm feelings that the Vietnamese youth and people had for the delegation.

"What impressed and moved us most during this trip was listening directly to General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary Xi Jinping express their hopes for the young generations of the two countries. During the journey, we witnessed with our own eyes the dynamic development of Vietnam's economy and the youthfulness of Vietnamese youth," said Mr. Tang Due.
