Ho Chi Minh City welcomes the first charter flight from Iran to Vietnam

More than 400 Iranian tourists on a series of charter flights chose Vietnam as their destination during the Nowruz holiday (Iranian New Year), demonstrating the attractiveness of Vietnamese tourism to Middle Eastern tourists.

On March 19, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed the first charter flight from Iran to Vietnam, marking a new step forward in tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Iran.

The Iranian delegation of more than 400 tourists on the first series of charter flights from Iran to Vietnam was divided into two groups. The first group of 200 tourists from Iran arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on March 19, visiting prominent landmarks in the South, Central and North before ending their journey on March 28.

The delegation was welcomed at the airport, with the participation of representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and related units.

A representative of the City Department of Tourism said that choosing Vietnam as a destination during the Nowruz holiday (Iran's traditional New Year) shows the growing attractiveness of Vietnamese tourism to Middle Eastern tourists.

The tour itinerary is specially designed to introduce visitors to a series of attractive historical and cultural sites, such as Cu Chi Tunnels, Ben Thanh Market, War Museum, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office , Ba Na Hills, Hoi An Ancient Town, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake.

During the 10-day, 9-night journey, through 3 regions of the country, the group will stay at famous hotels such as New World Saigon, Equatorial Ho Chi Minh, Four Points by Sheraton Danang, Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi...

According to a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the event of welcoming a charter group from Iran is an important milestone in the effort to promote international tourism of the City in particular and Vietnam in general.

Expanding the international tourist market, especially from the Middle East, not only contributes to diversifying tourist sources, but also creates conditions for developing high-end tourism, improving service quality and increasing Vietnam's attractiveness on the world tourism map.

In the coming time, the City Department of Tourism will continue to closely coordinate with many units in the industry to develop attractive tourism products, suitable to the needs of international tourists, promote advertising and market promotion activities to attract more large groups of tourists to Vietnam.

The second batch of 200 guests from Iran is expected to arrive in Hanoi on March 28, continuing to explore unique tourist destinations on the North-Central-South journey and ending on April 5./.
