Tan An City launched a tree planting campaign to remember Uncle Ho.

On the morning of May 19, 2024, at Chau Thi Kim Primary School, Ward 7, Tan An City, a tree planting ceremony was held to commemorate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh .

Attending the event were comrade Le Cong Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee; Secretary of Tan An City Party Committee; comrade Le Thi Khuyen - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Mr. Vo Hong Thao - Chairman of Tan An City People's Committee and other former leaders of the city.

Every year, Tan An city launches a tree planting movement on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday, contributing to maintaining and promoting the People's Tree Planting Movement initiated by Uncle Ho, creating a beautiful tradition of the Vietnamese people. Besides, it also raises awareness of all classes of people about the role, effects, value and significance of tree planting, protecting the ecological environment, contributing to mitigating natural disasters and adapting to climate change.

Mr. Vo Hong Thao - Chairman of Tan An City People's Committee emphasized: Responding to "Planting trees in memory of Uncle Ho" is an opportunity for cadres, civil servants, public employees and people in the city to remember the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh. Launching practical response movements, effectively implementing "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", especially planting trees to contribute to environmental protection, responding to the emulation movement to build "For a green, environmentally friendly Tan An City". At the same time, he also called on sectors, organizations and the community to respond by participating in planting trees in offices, schools, cultural houses... contributing to beautifying the landscape, creating an increasingly green, clean and beautiful living environment.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the delegates planted 30 trees at Chau Thi Kim Primary School, Ward 7. After the city's launching ceremony, communes, wards and units in the city will organize the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting in memory of Uncle Ho" in 2024 at agencies, units and localities./.
