English teacher travels to 40 countries to inspire university students

That is Mr. Le Hoang Phong, 32 years old, graduated from International Studies, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, founder and academic director of Your-E Education and Training Organization.

The story of the young teacher's journey is touching and strongly inspiring about the desire to rise up in life. Le Hoang Phong was orphaned from birth, he grew up in the SOS Children's Village in Ho Chi Minh City. Phong constantly strived while studying at university, selling lottery tickets, serving pho for hire, doing many other part-time jobs and nurturing the dream of being good at English to be able to change the fate of himself and many other disadvantaged children. Thanks to the support and guidance of a brother in the SOS village who let him work as an assistant interpreter for events, from a person who knew English poorly, Phong gradually became stronger.

He used to be a teacher of "Teach For Vietnam" (part of the Teach For All network, present in 60 countries around the world , aiming to improve education and open up development opportunities for all children), teaching English to secondary school children in Tay Ninh.

Phong never thought that what he learned was enough. He always searched for and won scholarships to visit many countries, broaden his horizons, and update his knowledge. Up to now, he has traveled to 40 countries and 5 continents. Although there were many opportunities to work abroad, Phong refused them all. He returned to Vietnam, founded Your-E Education and Training Organization, taught English, and provided scholarships to disadvantaged students so that more young people could step out into the big world like him.
