Accordingly, the school announced that it will no longer accept direct admission and add priority points and incentive points to grade 10.
Previously, at the end of February, the Foreign Language High School announced that candidates would be considered for direct admission if they won international prizes; or provincial prizes in competitions held on a national scale, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training .
In addition, junior high school candidates who win first prize in foreign languages in the provincial/municipal excellent student selection exam organized by the Department of Education and Training will have 1.5 points added to the total admission score.

This year, the Foreign Language High School will enroll 630 10th graders, of which English majors account for half with 315 spots. Chinese, German, and Japanese majors will enroll 70 spots per class; Russian, French, and Korean will enroll 35 spots per class.
According to the plan, candidates taking the entrance exam to the Foreign Language Specialized High School (University of Foreign Languages, Hanoi National University) will complete 4 subjects on June 1, including: Literature, Math, English, Specialized Foreign Language (candidates will take the exam in English, French, Chinese, German, Japanese). Except for English, which is a multiple-choice test, the remaining subjects will have an essay section.
In previous years, the Foreign Language High School recruited 10th graders with three exams, including Foreign Language, Math and Natural Science , Literature and Social Science. Thus, this year, the school increased the number of exams, but reduced the number of subjects (Natural Science and Social Science).
The admission score is the total score of four subjects on a 10-point scale, in which the specialized subject is multiplied by a factor of two, with a maximum of 50. The online registration period starts from May 6 to May 12. The exam fee is 600,000 VND. The results will be announced before July 15.
Tuition at the Foreign Language Specialized High School is expected to be 3.2 million VND/month. The school year lasts 9 months. Tuition remains unchanged throughout the entire course. The school will award 70 scholarships, including 20 full scholarships (equivalent to 100% of tuition) and 50 partial scholarships (50% of tuition).
This year, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) also announced the application of an entrance exam method, no longer directly recruiting candidates who won first prize in provincial-level excellent student competitions as in previous years.
