Along Buoi Street along To Lich River, many sidewalks and road surfaces were dug up for technical infrastructure construction, then carelessly restored.
Buoi road surface is peeling, bumpy, has a lot of gravel, causing danger to traffic participants.
The manhole cover is warped and protrudes from the road surface, like a "trap" lurking for passersby.
Many vehicles have to reduce speed to avoid potholes; in addition, dust and rocks from construction sites cause environmental pollution and affect urban aesthetics.
The newly renovated sidewalk along To Lich River is now also damaged due to road excavation for technical infrastructure construction.
The road section at the beginning of Doi Can street leading to To Lich river was also dug up for construction but the road surface was restored to a lower level than the old road surface.
Traffic is difficult due to bumpy, slippery road surface.
According to a representative of the Hanoi Department of Construction, recently, underground construction activities have taken place on the road along the To Lich River, including laying electric cables, telecommunication cables, and drainage pipes.
Authorities said they will strengthen inspection and supervision of construction units to ensure the quality of road and sidewalk restoration, as well as environmental sanitation and urban landscape.
