According to Lieutenant Colonel Duong Duc Tu Hai, Commander of Xuan Dai Border Guard Station, more than 50 people from the Border Guard, Police, and local militia, along with the support of local residents, are deployed along the coastline and in the area where boats are anchored to search for the two missing teenagers. Currently, the sea in this area has high waves and strong winds, so the forces cannot go far offshore to search.
According to initial information from local authorities, at approximately 5 PM on October 24th, the children: NHD (born in 2006), VTK (born in 2006), NHT (born in 2008), NHĐ (born in 2008), and VNT (born in 2008), all residing in Trieu Son village, Xuan Tho commune, Dak Lak province, went swimming at An Thanh neighborhood, Xuan Dai ward. While swimming, NHT and NHĐ were swept away by large waves and went missing.
Upon receiving the report, the Xuan Dai Border Guard Station dispatched forces to coordinate with the local police, militia, and residents to search for the victims.
In recent days, the Xuan Dai Bay area has experienced rough seas and large waves, making rescue efforts difficult.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Tho commune, said that the two children, NHT and NHD, had dropped out of school. The local authorities have deployed militia forces to coordinate with Xuan Dai ward in the search for the victims.
