The market "evaporated" nearly 44 points, VN‑Index fell below the 1,600 mark

In the trading session on November 7, the Vietnamese stock market was under strong selling pressure, especially in large-cap stocks, causing the VN-Index to lose nearly 44 points and fall below the 1,600 mark. Liquidity declined, foreign investors continued to withdraw net, reflecting the cautious sentiment spreading across the market.

Market liquidity increased compared to the previous session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 985 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND27,933 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on all 3 floors more than 1,414 billion VND, focusing on codes STB (298.01 billion VND), HDB (116.37 billion VND), SSI (121.51 billion VND), MBB (112.86 billion VND), MCH (108.94 billion VND)...

In the opposite direction, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session included HPG (300.95 billion VND),FPT (119.4 billion VND), PVS (103.74 billion VND), PVD (82.27 billion VND), VNM (39.55 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value of this session continued to increase compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 23,742 billion.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by 0.94 points included: GAS, FPT, NAB, SHI, KDC, SJS, PPC, BBC, ICT, SMC.

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index, reducing 26.05 points, included: VIC, VHM, CTG, VCB, VPB, BID, LBP, STB, MWG, TCB.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks performed positively, increasing 0.65%, mainly from FPT code... Some stocks decreased including CMG, ELC, ITD, HPT...

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 260.11 points, down 6.04 points (-2.27%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 99.43 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 2,590.51 billion. Liquidity reached over 846.87 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND24,591.68 billion. The entire floor had 59 stocks increasing, 37 stocks remaining unchanged and 270 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 44.89 points (-2.4%) and stopped at 1,824.71 points. Liquidity reached more than 408.52 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 14,407.65 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 2 stocks increasing, 0 stocks remaining unchanged and 28 stocks decreasing.
