Entrance exam to 10th grade specialized school in Dak Lak, there is a subject where 1 'competes' with 9

According to the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training, there are 3 specialized high schools organizing entrance exams for grade 10, including: Nguyen Du Specialized High School, N'Trang Long Boarding Ethnic Minority High School (Buon Ma Thuot City) and Dam San Boarding Ethnic Minority High School (Buon Ho Town).

At the Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted exam site, there were 1,346 candidates registered for 9 specialized classes and 2 non-specialized classes. Of which, English had the largest number of candidates with 353 candidates.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dang Bong, Principal of Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school will enroll 405 10th grade students, including: 9 specialized classes, each class has 35 students (315 students in total) and 2 non-specialized classes, each class has 45 students (90 students in total).

Candidates complete exam procedures at Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted

The number of students registered for the English specialized class is 353, while only 35 students are accepted in one class. Thus, each candidate to be admitted to this specialized class must surpass nearly 9 other students.

Also according to the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training, at the N'Trang Long Ethnic Minority High School exam site, there are 386 candidates registered to take the exam. In the 2023-2024 school year, this school will enroll 210 10th grade students.

At the Dam San Ethnic Minority High School exam site, 520 candidates registered to take the exam to recruit 210 students.

Dak Lak Department of Education and Training has mobilized 302 officers, teachers and staff to perform exam invigilation duties at the above 3 exam sites.

On June 8, candidates went to the examination sites to complete the examination procedures. This morning (June 9), candidates took the first subject of the exam, literature; in the afternoon, a foreign language. Tomorrow morning (June 10), candidates took the math test and in the afternoon, a specialized subject at the examination site of Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted.
