Bim Son Town: Giving people the "key" to confidently enter the digital age

Business households in Bim Son town are guided and deployed in digital technology applications.

The town has invested in infrastructure, information equipment, and telecommunications infrastructure in a synchronous and modern manner. The internet network is widely covered, from agencies, units, enterprises, cultural houses of neighborhoods/villages to public places. The online meeting room system is arranged at the conference center, the town cultural house, the town People's Committee, 7 communes, wards and 58 neighborhoods/villages, ensuring 4-level interconnection.

Thanks to the online conference room system, the launching ceremony of the "Digital Education for All" movement organized by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on May 8, 2025 and many other important conferences organized by the Central and the province were connected to all cultural houses of the neighborhoods/villages in the area. Mr. Nguyen Van Kip, Party cell secretary, head of neighborhood 4, Lam Son ward said: "Connecting online conferences to the neighborhood has helped us save a lot of time and travel costs".

In the “Digital Literacy for All” movement, people are the main subjects, using smart devices and digital platforms in work and life. With the number of telephone subscribers on the entire network estimated at 59,404 subscribers, reaching a density of 98.8 phones/100 people; the internet subscriber density reaching 91.67 subscribers/100 people is a favorable factor for people in Bim Son town to proactively participate in the digital environment.

In addition, community digital technology teams (CNSCĐ) in neighborhoods/villages have been effective in supporting people, especially the elderly, to access the digital environment. With the motto "Going to every alley, knocking on every door, guiding every person", CNSCĐ teams have helped more and more people use online public services, digital services and interact with the government through digital platforms, participating in zalo groups created and deployed by the town, ward and neighborhood in a proficient manner.

Ms. Le Thi Nhan, Ward 3, Dong Son Ward said: “Using smartphones and digital applications used to be very difficult for me, but with the help of members of the Ward 3 CSCD team, I now know how to transfer money via account, proficiently use VneID, Zalo, Facebook applications and read news on smartphones”.

Along with creating favorable conditions for people to participate in the "Digital Education for All" movement, Bim Son town has directed agencies and units to register for leaders, managers, civil servants and public employees to participate in a special training program specializing in AI applications organized by the Vietnam Online Academy for 3 days, from May 9 to 11, 2025. The course helps students deeply understand the concepts of AI, master artificial intelligence applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Deepseek... for organizations and individuals; proficiently and deeply use the most popular and powerful AI tools in the world to apply to their work.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, Deputy Director of the Center for Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of Bim Son town said: "Although the course is online, students can study at home, but the Center's leaders have arranged online classrooms and directed officers and civil servants to study at the unit to ensure seriousness."

With the efforts of the entire political system, Bim Son town is ready to carry out the movement "Digital Education for All", with the determination to equip all people with the capacity and knowledge to proficiently use digital tools, devices and platforms in study, work and daily life. From there, it ignites the spirit of lifelong learning and gives people the "key" to confidently enter the digital age of the nation".
