These properties include Helsinki Hall in Finland, which has a total of 562 owners and about 45% of the stadium is owned by Russian businessmen Roman Rotenberg and Gennady Timchenko.

According to STT , during the drafting of the new sanctions package, the EU discussed how sanctioned owners could sell frozen assets as an exception. And even if the businessmen were allowed to sell the said stadium, their profits from the transaction would still be frozen.

* A Turkish diplomatic source said that accusations that Turkey helped Moscow evade sanctions were baseless. Ankara affirmed that it was not involved in this.

"The accusations against Türkiye are completely baseless, there is no evidence to prove this. We are not involved in evading sanctions against Russia," the source said.

The US Treasury Department previously announced that Deputy Secretary Brian Nelson will travel to Turkey to discuss sanctions against Russia.

According to Bloomberg , the US is particularly concerned about Turkey's refusal to join Washington's sanctions against Moscow's ships and aircraft. This is the second visit to Turkey by Mr. Nelson, who oversees "counterterrorism and financial intelligence" activities at the US Treasury Department.
