1. University admission confirmation time 2024
- For candidates who are admitted directly, from July 22, 2024 to 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their admission on the System (candidates who have confirmed their admission will not be allowed to continue registering their admission wishes, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll).
In case of not yet determining admission, candidates can continue to register their admission wishes on the System or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates for training institutions to consider admission. If admitted, candidates will confirm their admission according to the general schedule;
- No later than 5:00 p.m. on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete the first round of online admission confirmation on the System.
In addition, from August 28, 2024 to December 2024, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of the training institution must follow the admission plan posted on the training institution's admission information page (if the training institution applies for additional admission).
Note: Candidates who have passed the entrance exam and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional enrollment, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll.

2. Is it okay if the university admission confirmation deadline has passed?
According to Article 21 of the Regulations issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on notification of results and confirmation of admission are as follows:
- The training institution sends admission notices to successful candidates, clearly stating the necessary procedures for candidates when enrolling and the candidates' admission method.
- Candidates confirm their admission online on the system, before enrolling at the training facility.
- For candidates who do not confirm admission within the prescribed time limit:
+ If there is no valid reason, the candidate will be considered to have refused admission and the training institution has the right not to accept him/her;
+ If due to illness or accident, with a certificate from a district hospital or higher, or due to natural disaster with confirmation from a district People's Committee or higher, the training institution will consider deciding to accept the candidate to study or reserve the admission results for the candidate to study later;
+ If due to errors or mistakes of the staff performing the admission work or the individual candidates, the training institution will proactively coordinate with relevant individuals and organizations to review the evidence and decide to accept the candidate or reserve the admission results for the candidate to enroll later.
- Candidates who have confirmed their enrollment at a training institution are not allowed to participate in the admission process elsewhere or in additional admission rounds, unless permitted by the training institution.
Thus, according to regulations, if a candidate does not confirm admission within the prescribed time limit without a valid reason, it is considered that the candidate has refused admission and the training institution has the right to not accept the candidate.
3. Instructions for confirming university admission online in 2024
To confirm university admission in 2023, candidates need to follow the steps below:
Step 1: Access the Ministry of Education and Training 's information portal at the link below: https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/
Step 2: Login
Candidates can log in in two ways: Log in on the Ministry's system or Log in from the National Public Service Portal.
However, to ensure access, candidates should log in to the Ministry's system using the previously granted account.
At the login box in the Ministry's System, candidates only need to enter the following information:
- ID card/CCCD number/Representative ID number
- Login code
- Confirmation code
After completing the above information, candidates click "Login"
Step 3: Look up admission results
At the login interface, candidates select " Look up admission results "
Step 4: Check the admission results
In each registered wish, there will be a Pass or Fail result.
Priority is given to the results of the first wish.
For example: Candidates who pass their first choice will “pass” their first choice and “fail” all other choices. If they fail their first choice, the system will continue to consider the next choices.
Step 5: Confirm Admission/Reconfirm Again
Candidates choose the school they have passed. Select the box " Confirm admission " as follows:
Then, the system will ask the candidate to confirm again. Then, the candidate clicks on “ Agree ”.
Step 6: Check the status of Enrolled.
At the wish that the candidate confirms admission, the status will display " Admitted ". At that time, the candidate has completed the confirmation of admission to the University.
Note: Candidates will not be able to cancel their online admission confirmation, but must contact the university for processing.
