About 80% of Kim Dong Primary School students have returned to class.

During the heavy rain, most of the teachers stayed at school, only a few returned to the plains. When the weather stabilized, 9 teachers in the plains proactively returned to Nam Tra My to start teaching on November 3. “The teachers’ spirit of overcoming difficulties is truly admirable,” said Mr. Phuc.

From early morning, the school organized a group of male teachers to Tra Mai and Tak Lu villages, which were heavily affected by landslides, to take students to school safely. In some remote areas, parents had to walk their children for about 30 minutes to the meeting point, then teachers used motorbikes to take the children to continue.

There are still some students in remote areas who cannot return because the road from Bac Tra My to Nam Tra My is being repaired. The school flexibly arranges the timetable, ensuring a suitable teaching program in the context of the mountainous area still having rain and storm No. 13 is forecast to affect from November 6.
