14 defendants prosecuted in connection with gambling case in Tan Hoi commune

On November 3, Tan Hoi Commune Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and enforce a ban on leaving the place of residence for 14 accused related to the gambling case that occurred in the commune.

Specifically, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police has decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and enforce the order prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence against: Duong Tam Em (born in 19840), Khuu Thi Kim Trinh (born in 1997), Duong Van Quy (born in 1997), Huynh Thi Kim My (born in 1970), Le Van Tam (born in 1983), Nguyen Thi Loan (born in 1973), Le Thanh Phong (born in 1982), all residing in Tan Hoi commune; Le Thi Chuoc (born in 1972), Nguyen Thi Hue (born in 1986), all residing in Vinh Thong ward, Tran Thi Nga (born in 1971), Cao Van Luc (born in 1969), all residing in My Thuan commune; Nguyen Quoc Khanh (born in 1983), residing in Nhon My commune; Pham Thi Kim (born in 1967), residing in Dong Thai commune; Nguyen Van Dung (born in 1984), residing in Thoai Son commune, to investigate gambling behavior.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. on September 9, after receiving a report from the people in Dap Da hamlet, Tan Hoi commune, that a group of people were gambling in the form of dice shaking for money, Tan Hoi commune police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police to conduct an inspection and caught 14 subjects red-handed gambling.

Evidence seized at the scene included more than 5.2 million VND, 70 million VND and some gambling tools were seized from the suspects. At the police station, the suspects admitted their violations.
