According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early on the morning of April 28, cold air approached our country's border.

Due to the influence of cold air, the North and North Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, locally over 50mm.

On the morning of April 28, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region, and some places in the Northwest region.

Inland, the wind changes direction to Northeast level 2-3, coastal areas level 3. On April 28, the weather in the Northeast will turn cool, some places in the mountainous areas of the North will be cold.

The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North is generally from 20-23 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas it is below 18 degrees Celsius; in the North Central region it is generally 22-25 degrees Celsius.

At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind changes direction to the Northeast, strong level 4-5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. Rough sea; waves 1.5-2.5m high.

According to Deputy Head of Weather Forecasting Department Nguyen Huu Thanh, due to the influence of cold air compressing the low pressure trough, on April 28, the Northeast region will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain to very heavy rain, the Northwest and North Central regions will have showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. The rain will gradually decrease at night.

Thunderstorms can cause tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind. Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works, and infrastructure.

Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Northwest region

- Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day, locally heavy rain; scattered showers and thunderstorms at night.

- The weather is cool, some places are cold. Temperatures range from 20-23 degrees Celsius at night and the highest is from 25-28 degrees Celsius.

Northeastern region

- Cloudy, rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms during the day, locally heavy to very heavy rain; scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Northeast wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

- The weather is cool, some mountainous areas are cold, the lowest temperature is from 20-23 degrees Celsius, some high mountainous areas are below 18 degrees Celsius; the highest is from 25-28 degrees Celsius.

Area from Thanh Hoa to Hue

- In the North, it is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day, with heavy rain in some places; at night there are scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the South, it is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.

- Lowest temperature from 22-25 degrees Celsius; highest from 28-31 degrees Celsius, in the South some places above 31 degrees Celsius.

Area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan

- Cloudy, sunny during the day, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may occur.

- Lowest temperature from 23-26 degrees Celsius, highest from 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands region

- Cloudy, sunny during the day, hot in some places, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

- Lowest temperature from 20-23 degrees Celsius, highest from 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places over 35 degrees Celsius.

Southern Region

- Hot during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

- Lowest temperature from 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest from 34-36 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi Capital Area

- The weather will be cool, with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day and rain in some places at night. Northeast wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

- The lowest temperature is from 21-23 degrees Celsius, the highest is from 26-28 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 21-23 degrees Celsius.
