More on the explosion at a magnet factory that injured 12 people

Accordingly, at the paint coating room of SGI Vina Company Limited located in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Nui Thanh District ( Quang Nam ), an explosion occurred at 9:26 a.m. on May 21, affecting 12 workers.

Immediately after the incident, the company quickly took all 12 workers to Quang Nam Central General Hospital for health check-ups. After that, 8 workers were discharged after being monitored for stable health. Currently, 2 workers are still being treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital, 1 case was transferred to Da Nang Hospital and 1 case is planned to be transferred to Hanoi Hospital for better special care.

Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae, General Director of SGI Vina Co., Ltd., said that the exact cause of the incident has not yet been determined. “Currently, we are working with the leadership of the parent company in Korea, the factory’s equipment suppliers and local authorities to inspect the scene and determine the cause of the incident,” Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae added.
