Information about subsidence of the road leading to Hoa Binh bridge

Hoa Binh Bridge connects Hoa Hoi Commune and Hoa Thanh Commune. At around 4:30 a.m. on May 11, an incident occurred where the approach road to Hoa Binh Bridge collapsed (located at pier B on the Hoa Binh market side, about 35-40m long and about 3.0m deep) on District Road 7, Chau Thanh District. At the time of the incident, there were 7 people traveling across the bridge, entering the collapsed area, including: 1 car (4 people in the car) and 2 motorbikes (3 people).

The incident damaged 1 Toyota Vios car and 2 motorbikes; 5 people were slightly injured and taken to Tay Ninh General Hospital for emergency treatment. 3 people are in stable condition and have been discharged; the remaining 2 are being treated at the Provincial General Hospital.

According to the preliminary assessment of Chau Thanh District People's Committee, the cause is predicted to be due to the local mud bag located under the bridgehead road sliding, causing subsidence of the roadbed and surface. Currently, the project has not been accepted, handed over, and put into use.

After the incident, the District People's Committee organized traffic diversion, ensuring the movement of people in the area, and the smooth flow of vehicles. Specifically as follows: vehicles traveling from Hoa Hoi commune to Hoa Thanh commune (and vice versa) move according to the plan: take DT.781 - DH3 - DH4 - DT.788 - Border patrol road - DH7 (Border commune) and vice versa or go in the direction of DT.781 (Phuoc Tan) - Border patrol road - DH13 (Hiep Binh) - DH7, go to DT.788 (Phuoc Vinh intersection) - District road 5 - District road 7.

Implementation time: from May 11 until the problem is resolved (Chau Thanh District People's Committee will have a specific announcement).

The District People's Committee promptly organized visits to victims of traffic accidents due to the impact of construction subsidence .

The Department of Construction added that the agency is coordinating with the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district to deploy the District Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor), design consultants, appraisal consultants, supervision consultants, construction units and independent consultants... to determine the cause and promptly propose solutions.
