In order to manage temporary import and re-export business activities of Monazite ore and concentrate to prevent the possibility of environmental pollution, affecting human health and life, illegal transportation, risk of trade fraud, and greatly affecting foreign relations between Vietnam and other countries in the world, based on the provisions of Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and related legal documents, on March 29, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular No. 05/2024/TT-BCT regulating the temporary suspension of temporary import and re-export of Monazite ore and concentrate.

Pursuant to the provisions of Circular No. 05/2024/TT-BCT mentioned above, from May 13, 2024, the temporary import and re-export business of Monazite ore and concentrate (belonging to group 26.12, code 2612.20.00) will be temporarily suspended. This Circular applies to traders participating in the temporary import and re-export business of Monazite ore and concentrate; agencies, organizations and individuals related to the temporary import and re-export business of Monazite ore and concentrate.

Circular No. 05/2024/TT-BCT takes effect from May 13, 2024 to December 31, 2027.
