However, according to road management authorities, it is still raining in Binh Thuan province, and some sections of the embankment still show signs of water seepage and slight runoff onto the road surface.
In response to this situation, Road Management Area IV continues to maintain a 24/7 presence at the scene, ready to handle any unusual situations immediately.
Earlier, on the morning of October 30th, after a prolonged period of heavy rain, water overflowed the embankment, carrying soil and rocks into the drainage ditch, causing flooding on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway from Km215+200 to Km215+700. Simultaneously, the heavy rainfall caused flooding in the entire area, including from Km233+250 to Km233+500 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, with a flood depth of 0.6m - 0.7m in both directions.
The Road Management Area IV Office, in coordination with traffic police and maintenance units, has deployed signage and traffic cones to ensure traffic flow. They have closed the Ma Lam intersection (Km208+701) and the Phan Thiet intersection (Km234+617), directing traffic towards National Highway 28 and National Highway 1. Simultaneously, they have organized patrols to monitor damage and coordinate traffic safety 24/7.
