On the evening of December 16th, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Southeast Asian Gong Festival of Lam Dong province held a meeting to finalize several important issues related to the preparation and organization of the event.
The Southeast Asian Gong Festival, themed “Echoes of Heritage - Connecting the Future,” will take place from December 10, 2025 to January 2, 2026 in Da Lat, Lam Dong; the main events of the festival will be concentrated from December 18-20.

The highlight of the festival is the Southeast Asian Gong and Drum Harmony Night 2025, held on the evening of December 20th at Lam Vien Square - Da Lat.
At the festival, two Vietnamese records are expected to be set: the largest space for a gong performance combining culture and art, and the musical work with the largest and most numerous gong performance, "We are Lamdong".
The event is expected to be attended by representatives from several countries belonging to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, along with more than 600 artisans from gong ensembles both domestically and internationally.
International delegations of artisans came from Cambodia, Laos, and Malaysia; domestic delegations included 5 teams of artisans from the provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak , Quang Ngai, and Phu Tho (Phu Tho had 2 teams).
Lam Dong province participated with 8 teams of artisans from various localities, along with 1 team of artisans from the Valley of Love tourist area and about 100 students from Da Lat College.
The 2025 Southeast Asian Gong Festival is a major cultural event, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Central Highlands Gong Culture Space being recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
The event also reaffirms Lam Dong province's commitment to joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province affirmed that the festival is an opportunity to honor the values of Vietnamese cultural heritage, especially the Gong Culture Space of the Central Highlands; and at the same time, to introduce and promote the image of Lam Dong's culture and people to friends at home and abroad.
