The organizers said that the race recorded a record number of participants over the 3 times it was held, more than 5,000 athletes, competing in 3 distances including half marathon (21.195km), 15km, 6km. The longest distance, half marathon (21.195km), gathered 2,500 athletes with many impressive achievements. This year, many families completed the 6km distance, creating beautiful images that inspired health training in the community.
One of the differences that attracts athletes this season is the activities that accompany the green message for the environment. In addition to the children's race "Kids Run the Earth" is the interesting program "Exchange kilometers for trees" launched by the sponsor, BIM Group. A representative of BIM Group said that on the competition day, for each athlete who completes a minimum of 6km, BIM Group will plant a new tree in major cities across the country.
BIM Group representative, Head of Marcom Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy said: "The challenge of exchanging kilometers for trees is part of a series of green actions initiated by BIM Group, aiming to raise public awareness about the living environment and climate change. The desire to spread inspiration about a green, healthy lifestyle, contributing to improving the living values of the community is one of the philosophies of sustainable development that we have persistently pursued for nearly 30 years of formation and development".
From April 8 to April 22, when each individual completes the challenge of running at least 6km and shares the message "Exchange kilometers for trees", BIM Group will plant a new tree on your behalf in major cities across the country. To participate, readers can share their achievements on Facebook in public mode, with the message "Exchange kilometers for trees" and the hashtag #BIMDoiCaySoLayCayXanh.
