Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy surveyed the route of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Project.

The working delegation included leaders of Departments and Bureaus under the Ministry of Construction ; Railway Project Management Board.

On the Lao Cai side, there were comrade Nguyen Trong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; and leaders of the Lao Cai City People's Committee.

The consulting unit reported on the plan to adjust the route of some sections in Lao Cai province.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy listened to the consulting unit report on the plan to adjust the route direction, boundaries for site clearance at some sections of the route and stations, and the leaders of Lao Cai province reported on the implementation of site clearance, locations for resettlement area construction, and areas for arranging production facilities to relocate enterprises in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, Dong Pho Moi Industrial Cluster, and Son Man - Van Hoa Industrial Cluster.

Reporting to the working delegation, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that in recent times, Lao Cai province has resolutely and synchronously implemented solutions for site clearance along with the development of resettlement plans. Lao Cai province is determined to complete the site handover on schedule to start the project as directed by the Prime Minister .

The Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee also proposed that the Ministry of Construction direct the consulting unit to study and adjust the scope and boundaries of land clearance at some locations to suit the orientation and economic development planning of the province, creating favorable conditions for the province to effectively exploit the advantages when the new railway line is formed.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy directed the consulting unit to carefully survey the route boundary as requested by Lao Cai province.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy highly appreciated the initiative and determination of Lao Cai province in implementing the project, and hoped that the province would continue to promote this spirit to soon complete the site clearance work.

Regarding the recommendations of Lao Cai province, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy requested the Railway Project Management Board and consulting units to review and carefully study the adjustment of land clearance boundaries at some locations; limit land clearance affecting socio-economic development, but must strictly ensure technical factors.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy also requested Lao Cai province to promptly report on capital needs to implement projects in the province as a basis for the Ministry of Construction to synthesize and report to the Prime Minister.
