On the afternoon of March 20, 2024, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung received Mr. Rafael Frankel, Director of Public Policy for Southeast Asia of Meta. Also attending were representatives of relevant units of the Ministry and Meta representatives in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Rafael Frankel briefly introduced a number of activities implemented in Vietnam, such as organizing the Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2023, accompanying the Department of Information Security in educational content related to online safety for children in the network environment through the One Touch platform, training digital skills and digital economic skills for Vietnamese small and medium enterprises...

Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung highly appreciated Meta's community activities in Vietnam. The Deputy Minister emphasized that Meta needs to soon coordinate with relevant units of the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize communication campaigns, provide information about online fraud and prevention methods on Meta's platforms; at the same time, have a method to receive reports and handle accounts, pages, and groups related to online fraud; connect and share with the national anti-online fraud database and cooperate to build solutions and measures to protect users on social networks.../.
